The old pirate song "Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Rum" is a real pirate sort of song with swashbuckling both implied and described.
It is the most fun song about death that I can think of.
"Fifteen men on a dead man's chest"... Well, you know that a dead man's chest would be too small for fifteen men to stand on unless it referred to something else and that something else is a rocky island called just that.

Pirates often stashed their loot on small islands in hidden places.
