You can get tax breaks for donations that you make to a charity. It has to be a qualified 501(3)(c) charity.

There can sometimes be a donation tax benefit other than the deduction or tax allowance. Before you donate anything you have to know what donations are tax deductible.
Although I am not in the big money the good Doc Lowe asked "What is the maximum I can donate."

Lucky him to have so much money that it is a problem!
